a poem for kimberly's matisse...

The night moon
Through a winter tree
A flurry through a thin curly curtain
Lighting the chaise table
Where purple flowers are
A glass of wine is
& there a bowl of flirting goldfish
& the Ghirardelli chocolate squares
Shaped as full moons crescent moons & half moons
White mint fillings
Caramel fillings
Dark chocolate 60% cacao
& she
Her burgundy scarf
Oh!
How fa.
How high the moon
A poet sings by the sea
Where books & bottles & a white lily are
Lighted by the moon
A photograph on the wall of Piano Gal dressed in burgundy is
Lighted by the moon
& a
Harsh wind slaps the clapboards
- -
Oh!
But
When the cold wind comes
(She) goes where the dahlias bloom*
- -
Oh!
- -
That's where she goes
When the harsh wind comes
