sun carpets...

Only
Chimes in the wind
The sound and the breeze
And
Rings
Of
Bamboo

Sun carpets

And
Solitude

Duke Ellington wrote the song

sun time...

Sun time
A glint on the hummingbird feeder
Geraniums and cactus bathed
Sun time
A few minutes writing in it
And
Waiting
For the music to appear

Sun time

orange...

In discussion of orange with a poet
I described
Orange,
Orange in the door
Orange in the garden
I look out on the wavy wind
Blue sky now
Not
Seeing
Through the window

Maybe at sunset?

in the book...

motionless...

In the rosas bushes
Motionless everything
The clouds
No clouds I can see
White light blue
The blue painter's tape motionless too
I hear birds but do not see them
I do now,
One
Sparrow

And oh now
Crows and gulls swooping

But
No motion
Not even locomotion

But there is a strutting seagull
On the roof peak of the movie house

Now

at 7...

At 7

Sun

Crows
And still in the Scotch pine
Very still

The piano tuner is on her way
I'll paint today

Maybe not.

at 4...

At 4
Fogrise
Cloudrise
A rose pink in the clouds
A glint of light on the stovepipe next door
And

At 5
The movie house comes to life
Birds
And sunbreaks
And breezes
And

The geraniums are red
And the hummingbirds are blue

where blue...

Where blue
Where
In blue eyes
Blue
Moons
Blue flowered curtains there the windows where the boats are
And the blue snow is
And the pond where the lily pads float is
More
Blues
A brush of blue paint on her chin, green on her nose and eyes
Matisse's wife
A faded photograph of blue water in Buzzards Bay
And
And
A Kind of Blue Miles sketch
In
Spain,
Birth of the Cool
Blue
Blue streaks on the big fish
The Marlin
And
Old man
In Monk's midnight dance
Oh Thelonious
Blue notes
No notes

Oh man!
